Ambergris Caye (calm waters, family resorts, watersports), Placencia (laid-back, beach access, activities), or San Ignacio (jungle adventures, guided tours). Jungle lodges are excellent for nature-loving families.
Should I book a package deal?
Absolutely. Lodge + tour packages save 50-70% vs separate bookings. A lodge with ATM Cave, snorkeling, and meals for $150-200 is better value than $100 hotel + $120 in meals/tours.
Do beachfront hotels have air conditioning?
Most do, but confirm when booking. AC is essential during May-September (hot and humid, 85-95°F). Some budget properties have ceiling fans only.
